WHAT THIS PACKAGE IS
A transcription of nine numeric tables already published in the retail and wholesale analyses. The overview CSV brings together the published national status counts. This is not a newly collected dataset, a national census or the underlying business-level directory. No new address-level verification was performed for this release.

ATTRIBUTION
Directory and analysis: Midwest Vape Distro research team. Publisher: VapeBrief. The contributing team works for a US vape wholesaler; see the disclosure in each article. Cite the original article, data date and release version.

DEFINITIONS
Catalogued: a record included in the submitted directory, not proof of current operation.
Marked operating / verified operating: the authors' status classification from reported public-source evidence; not an on-site visit or legal-compliance certification.
Unconfirmed: unresolved evidence, not a closure finding.
Evidence tiers T0-T3: evidence strength, separate from operating status.
VGI: unconfirmed retail records divided by catalogued retail records in the same state, as a percentage.
Density: wholesale records per 1,000 retail records in the same state; not shipments or market share.

TABLE NOTES
State lists and chain-name lists are selected published tables, not complete national breakdowns. The retail format table contains selected categories and does not sum to the national total. Exact chain-name counts do not establish ownership or complete chain totals. Contact fields can overlap; a missing value does not prove no digital presence. Preserve units, labels and denominators. Numeric cells retain the article's comma separators and rounded percentages.
