FDA-Authorized Vapes: The Full List, Tracked

FDA has authorized 48 e-cigarette products for sale in the United States, and all of them come from five companies. The agency describes them as the only e-cigarettes that may be lawfully sold in the country. This page reproduces FDA’s list by company and is checked daily against FDA’s own page; when FDA changes the list, this page is updated.

Reading the list

Each entry is one exact device, pod, cartridge or e-liquid at a stated strength. A flavour or strength that is not named is not covered, even under an authorized brand, so a shelf or invoice check has to match the full product name rather than the brand. FDA states that authorization does not mean a product is safe or “FDA approved.”

FDA says it posts new authorizations on its list on the day they are granted, and adds them to its Searchable Tobacco Products Database the day after. Federal authorization is only one layer: many states run their own product directories, tracked on our state directory laws page.
