Doric Galaxy Lists Separate Capacities for Its Pen and Power Bank

The pen is rated at 500 mAh and its companion bank at 1,800 mAh. Those labels alone cannot establish completed recharges.

VOOPOO’s Doric Galaxy specifications list a 500 mAh battery in the pen and a 1,800 mAh battery in its companion power bank. The first supplies the device; the second stores energy for charging it. Adding the labels would misstate the capacity physically inside the pen.

The company advertises endurance of up to 100 hours. That is its claim, not a measured result from VapeBrief, and should not be described as continuous operation.

Charge capacity and energy

Milliamp-hours measure charge capacity. Energy also depends on voltage: the FAA’s battery guidance gives watt-hours as battery voltage multiplied by amp-hours.

Dividing 1,800 by 500 gives 3.6, but not a measured recharge count. That calculation would need battery energy ratings, transfer efficiency and usable charge limits. This analysis has no measured values for those variables. The external charging-input voltage is not automatically the cell’s nominal voltage either.

The separate bank also matters for travel documentation. FAA guidance treats power banks as spare batteries that belong in carry-on baggage, protected against short circuit; airlines may impose stricter conditions. Electronic smoking devices have additional rules, so this guidance alone does not clear the kit for a journey.

This is a document-based assessment of two components, not a battery test. Runtime and recharge claims require evidence beyond the capacity labels.
