VOOPOO ARGUS G2 mini Review: Device, Cartridge and Control
The original 1,200mAh ARGUS G2 mini now shares a product page with revised cartridges and the mini+. This review separates those configurations before assessing the controls.
Key points
- The original G2 mini and the G2 mini+ are different configurations.
- Cartridge revisions do not establish a change to the battery.
- Automatic power and adjustable airflow need separate assessment.
Documentation-based review: This is an independent reading of VOOPOO’s specifications and manual. VapeBrief has not tested a sample, measured its output or verified cartridge endurance.
The ARGUS G2 mini is an existing platform, not a new October 2026 launch. VOOPOO named it in a May 2024 exhibition announcement. Its current product page covers more than one package, including revised cartridges and a separately identified G2 mini+. That makes configuration control the starting point for a useful review. One product page, several combinations
This article concerns the original 1,200mAh G2 mini. The current page distinguishes that device from the 1,500mAh mini+ and presents packages with ARGUS Top Fill Cartridge V2. It also separates standard 3ml capacity from 2ml TPD configurations. A change to the cartridge supplied in a box is not, by itself, evidence of a change to the battery. Current official product page
The practical editorial consequence is straightforward: battery capacity, cartridge generation and regional capacity need their own entries in any test record. Treating the name on the box as a complete specification risks transferring a result from one combination to another. This is particularly important when an older review is read alongside an updated manufacturer page.
Automatic power does not mean fixed airflow
The original manual specifies a 5–30W range, a built-in 1,200mAh battery and 5V/1A charging input. It describes power adapting to cartridge resistance, a physical airflow adjustment and a battery indication that changes from white to red at low charge. Official G2 mini manual
Those controls divide responsibilities. The electronics manage one variable while the airflow control changes another. Calling the device either completely fixed or completely adjustable loses that distinction. Likewise, a stated power range does not show how output behaves throughout a discharge, and a colour indicator does not measure the time remaining.
What a performance review would still need
The manual discusses condensation and possible leakage in particular conditions. That is context for interpreting the device, not a measured leakage rate. An independent test would need to distinguish liquid at the contacts from a repeated sealing failure and document the conditions in which either appeared.
For now, the defensible conclusion is about architecture: resistance-based power control, a separate airflow adjustment and a package history that needs careful labelling. Battery runtime, charging duration, output stability and cartridge life remain unverified here. A single star rating would hide more than it explains without a specified sample and a repeatable test method.
